Privacy & Data

Plain-language summary — not a legal document, but an honest account of exactly what happens to your data.
Short version: This is a single-player game. It doesn't run ads and doesn't sell data. Guest Login keeps your saves on your own device. The site counts visits anonymously with Cloudflare Web Analytics (no cookies). Google Analytics runs only if you press Accept on the cookie notice — press Decline and it is never loaded. Google Sign-In (when connected) stores your save games in a Firebase project that the developer controls, solely so you can resume on another device.

What's stored, and where

Guest Login (default): your chosen display name and every save slot are stored only in your browser's local storage, on your own device. Nothing leaves your browser. Clearing your browser data deletes it permanently — there is no other copy.

Google Sign-In (optional): if you choose to sign in, Firebase Authentication receives the standard Google account info needed to identify you (name, email, a profile photo URL, and a unique account ID). Your save games are then also copied to Cloud Firestore under that account ID, so you can resume the game on a different device.

Feedback and leaderboards: if you send feedback through the in-game 💬 Feedback button, your rating and written answers are stored in the developer's Firebase project so they can be read and acted on. If you submit a score to a leaderboard, the score and the display name shown with it are stored there too and are visible to other players.

Analytics

Cloudflare Web Analytics (always on, no cookies): counts visits anonymously. It sets no cookies and builds no profile of you; it records only aggregate information such as page views, page load speed, country, browser type, and which site linked here.

Google Analytics (only after you accept cookies): the first time you visit, a small notice asks "We use cookies to count players and improve the game." Only if you press Accept does the game load Google Analytics (through Firebase), which sets Google Analytics cookies. It then records:

It never records your save games, your Prime Minister's name, your email address, or what you write in feedback.

How to decline: press Decline on the cookie notice — Google Analytics is then never loaded and no Google Analytics cookie is set. Your choice is remembered in your browser. To change it later, use the button below; the notice will appear again on your next visit. (After withdrawing consent you can also clear this site's cookies in your browser settings to remove any Google Analytics cookie already set.)

What's in a save file

Your save contains only in-game data: your Prime Minister's name and age, your decisions and their in-game effects, and play statistics. It does not contain any information about you beyond what you typed into the Setup screen.

What this game does NOT do

Deleting your data

Guest data: use the "Reset Save" button in the sidebar, or clear your browser's site data for this page.

Google account data: sign in, then contact the developer (see below) to request full deletion from Firestore — or, if you're comfortable with Firebase, an account owner can delete a user's documents directly from the Firebase console.

Age note

This is a geopolitics and economy simulation intended for a general audience. It includes text descriptions of conflict, war casualties (as numbers, not graphic depictions), and political/economic themes appropriate for players comfortable with strategy games like Civilization or Democracy 3.

Changes to this notice

If what's collected ever changes, this page will be updated to reflect that honestly before the change ships.
